'We are using best practices:' Jacksonville nonprofit's drop-out reduction program meets national standards

Communities In Schools of Jacksonville, which works in local schools to reduce dropout rates among struggling at-risk students, has achieved national accreditation.

The nonprofit complied with all Communities In Schools National Total Quality System standards, which "define expectations for effective nonprofit business practices and for implementing the national model of integrated student support services at school sites," according to a news release.
